STARTING WEEK 2 : Lots of Green Veggies, Must be a Good Sign.

My first week of weight loss finished today. I hope I did good and I am eagerly waiting to see my weight. I hope I loose some. I am sure I can’t loose 9 pounds. But I think 3 or 4 pounds can be shed off. Let’s see. I drank lots of water this week 1. I ate lots of vegetables which I really hate before. Yes actually the truth is vegetables are not bad.

My wife steamed some broccoli and which is tasted like a chicken. I never know broccoli is that much good to eat. I ate broccoli, green pepper, lettuce, spinach and cauliflower this week. I noticed one thing; I started to cook a lot. That is a very good sign. Hopefully at end of this diet, I will be a good chef, the chef with lots of innovative ideas. Long way to go man..! hmmm

I am eager to see how I did my week one. I just went to QWLC and found that I lost 3 pounds from last week. Not bad at all. So my week one weight loss is 3 pounds. Now I have to stick on the basics. I hope that I can loose another 3 pounds this week 2.

Now I am away from 300 pound mark. I am in 299 "whoooeaa". What a great feeling..! So it is good way to start Week Two. In my week two I am planning to do the same thing I did in week one.

The staffs in QWLC are really helpful, they are really helping me to set the meal plan for the coming days and I learned lots of things. They are good. (So far)

STARTING WEEK 1: The Honeymoon Phase is Over Now..!

SO My Detox Phase is over now. It was really nice. The last 6 days I was eating like a PIG. Yes litterly I was. I was eating eggs in the morning, Salmon at 11.00 and the whole chicken (with out skin) in the lunch, Turkey Breast in the Evening and Chicken breast in the Night. Again yes it was UNLIMITED portions. I really enjoyed my Detox phase. I drank lots of water. The Main problem was I was running to the bathroom every 15 min due to this “heavy drinking”. The staff in QWLC instructed me that I can have these unlimited portions as much as I want during this phase. She was saying that “as much as you eat that much you are going to loose” Let’s see..! Today I went to QWLC (Quick Weight Loss Center) and they weighed me in.

Guess What? “302 LB" I lost 9 pounds in my Detox period. The last 6 day’s of my Detoxs did some wonders huh..? The lady in QWLC said I am in weight loss week from this week on and she said the normal weight loss would be around 3- 5 lb per week.

So that’s it. Basically I don’t expect any more 9 pounds weight loss a week. Hey, actually I am fine even if I am loosing 3 pound a week. The last couple years I was at the other side though. Every week I was gaining couple pounds. So now I am totally fine that even if I am losing at a slower rate. She told me that there is a different diet plan which I have to follow from now on. No more "UNLIMITED MEATS". I love my Detox period now the honeymoon is over.

This is my new plan, kind of, now I can have 3 starches, 4 portions of vegetables, two and half portions of proteins and three fruits and 80 oz Water in a day. On top of that I can have two protein supplements. Well it is enough to survive. Oh there is another thing I am supposed to do from this week on, frequent office visits. Yes, I have to see them at least 3 times a week, so I am planning to go to the center on every Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

I will update my blog once in a week and I will let you know about my progress.

STARTING DETOX PHASE: 311 Pound Man and his Plans.

After couple attempts in the past, I gained back all my weight due to improper selection of foods. I love to eat. I am kind of a guy who likes only to eat meat. I hate to eat vegetables. (Even now! but I have to change this life style.) I always go out and eat. Denny’s, IHop, Tacobell, KFC are my favorite places for the last couple of years. So my body has grown as my taste grows. I hit 300 pounds in 2010 and it was my wake up call. So I decided to start dieting, and this time I decide to take things seriously.

I started my prep (QWLC called Detox phase) on March 15th 2010. I weighed 3 times today to make sure where I am. Oh well…! I am at 311lb. huh..! A Long way to go..! Usually the Detox phase is limited to 3-6 days, I am planning to do that for the next 6 days.

To me, it seems, QWLC’s Detox is basically based on the atkins diet. Unlimited Protein, No carb and one orange. The good thing is you can eat lots of meat. And it is unlimited. Wow..! I love that. I can do this Detox phase for life long.

As I said Detox is a good phase you can eat UNLIMITED chicken, beef, eggs (egg is limited to two), green vegetables and orange. But NO crabs..! And have to drink 80 OZ of water. And I have to go to QWLC next Monday (3/22/2010). Actually my weight loss week starts from there.

My plan for next week is to keep a smile. I am going to enjoy cooking. I know there is lots of cooking involved in this diet and I am ready for it. I am going to try different things in the coming days. I will share if I come up with any new recipes. I am not going to start exercising until I hit 220lb. Now I will just concentrate on dieting. Lets Hope for the best.

My Master Plan : Massive Weight Loss in Two Phases

My name’s JOE and this is my journey to losing weight and trying to get back to the normal life style. I tried couple times to loose weight but unfortunately every time I end up in gaining weight. I cannot blame anyone for my failure. It was my mistake. Now I am again trying to shed out 150 lb+ from me. I went to quick weigh loss center in Florida and I am hoping to shed out my extra weight this time.

Here is my Master Plan.

I am planning to do this massive weight loss in two phases.

Phase One: March 22 2010 to Nov 31st 2010 (40 weeks) Target Wt Goal: 190lb

Phase Two: Jan 22 2011 to May 28 2011 (18 Weeks) Target Wt Goal: 145 lb

In the first phase, my target goal is 190 lb but anything below 200 lb I will be happy. I started this plan on March 22 2010 and I am going to end my first phase diet on Nov 31st 2010. So the first phase of my Weight loss has 40 weeks and I have to throw away 115 pound during this journey. Once I achieve my first phase of goal, I will off from diet and maintain the calories and allow gaining few pounds (let’s say less than 10-15 lb). Once my body and system will get a littlie rest I will start the second phase.

The second phase is shorter than the first one and it is a less weight goal. My aim for the second phase of weight loss should be get toned, get fit and maintain the Normal weight BMI which is around 18.5-24.9, I am happy if I could maintain around 21.7 (which means I have to be around 147 lb. (Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to both adult men and women. The normal weight BMI is around 18.5-24.9. The second phase of my weight loss I am planning to do that from Jan 22 2011 to May 28 2011. So the second phase journey is all about the 18 weeks, from Jan 22 2011 to May 28 2011 I have to get fit, toned and be at my ideal weight (145lb) at the end of this journey.

Hah. Let see..! So it is over a year process to get rid of 150lb altogether. A tough challenge is waiting for me. Let see.

So that is my plan. I will try my level best to stick in to this plan and this time I am not alone I am with quick weight loss center in Florida. I spending a huge amount for this dieting but guess what if I am doing this properly then I am the one who is getting all the benefit.
